Need feedback on the Scangauge II

Hello NAM members,

Thinking for installing the Scangauge II on my 2006 Mini Cooper S.

I have read reviews on other sites and internet reviews that
using this product can cause problems ?

I have also read that this is a wonderful product, so let me know.

I'd like to hear back from users of this product if in fact it has
caused any problems with your Mini S, mainly the 2006 Mini S.

I am interested in using the gauge features for temperatures,
water, transmission temp, etc.

Also, please let me know where you purchased yours so I know
it will work on my Mini S without having problems.

Thanks much, MiniKar

If you buy it from one of our vendors it will come with your model specific software loaded. If you buy one used you can send it to the company and they will update it accordingly. I bought mine used off another member and sent it in for the R56 programming. I used it for 2 years, and when I traded for my F56 I sent it back to be updated with F56 specific programming. In both cases all it cost was my postage to send the unit to them. Great customer service and I've never had a complaint with the gauge.

I don't know who said it would cause problems. It doesn't do anything that would cause an issue. It just displays the data from the OBD II port.

I have one in every one of my cars and recommend them to everyone as it is the cheapest and easiest way to get a real coolant temp gauge. If it saves you one time from overheating it's worth every penny.

I have had mine on my car for years. I think I even got it from Way.

If you haven't met Way before, here he is....
