Scangauge II and/or R53 Scangauge Mount

Category: Interior
Price: $100
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (you may select multiples): R50, R52, R53
Location (Region): West
Item Condition: Used

Looking for a well-priced Scangauge II and/or the mount that attaches it to the speedo in a non-chrono R53 so I can monitor various conditions on my R53 as I go on this West Coast road trip in a few weeks. I don't care if it's the latest firmware, if it's scratched up, etc. I just need to get some monitoring of temperatures in place ASAP.

Looking to spend ~$100 (shipped to 85308) for the SCII, or $150 for the SC+mount. Let me know if you're looking for any R53 parts, I have a few local sources.

Thanks in advance!

Have you thought about using an OBDII adapter and a cell phone mount? Torque Lite should be able to monitor everything the scangage can. Bluetooth OBDII adapters can be had for under $10. Its what I use in a pinch when I need to do some emergency monitoring.

No, I haven't! But my cell phone sucks as it is, running maps+spotify+snapchat is too much for it I thought maybe it would be better to have a dedicated monitoring system. I was deciding between a water temp gauge or the SCII, but I decided on the SC because I could monitor IAT, water temps, and mileage, AFR, etc. But I mean, I guess Torque does that too, and a cell phone mount would be pretty nice to have.

I have two different versions, neither of which I paid more than $15 for. I used the first one so much I figured I would keep one in my DD and one in my emergency bag just in case.

Small form factor. $9 with prime Small form factor. $9 with prime

Larger, $12 Larger, $12

Both work with Torque Lite just fine.

If you're dead set on a standalone, check out ultragage. I had one in my TDI and was a big fan. Unfortunately the OBDII plug in the car is in an inconvenient place and I ripped the plug apart with my boots in the winter by getting in and out of the car. $80, and very similar to the scangage.

Oh, rad! Thanks!!! I think I'll try the larger OBDII one for now. And then I'll get a scangauge when a nice used one pops up. I've really wanted one ever since I got my first MINI.
