Just saw an ad for an RMW tuned 240hp R53 with this in the description, "This is a truly fast and fun low mileage R53 Mini Cooper S with rare factory LSD and was previously owned by a well known actor/celebrity 'car nut'"
Only 47K miles, but the asking price might be high at close to $12K.
Anyone recognize the car, or know who the the previous owner was?
I'm no help on the history of this car, but I'd love to know if it's putting out 240 WHP or BHP. If it's the former, then it has Jan's BVH, and most likely a cam and header too. I know one shouldn't count on getting the cost of mods & upgrades back at sale, but if it's a well-maintained car with LSD and lots of RMW goodies, that might not be a bad price for what you're getting.

Can't be much help, but just be sure bottom and top end of engine were upgraded for the higher horsepower. Find out the celebrity ID. Jay Leno?
