What are the good alternatives to window tint?
Hi all!
I am still waiting on my car to show up at the dealer...I think as of yesterday, the status was 'awaiting transport'... So hopefully soon...
Right now, as temp outside is climbing, I am wondering if people opt out tinting MINIs as it can get pretty pricey...(here in Germany, I heard it could go up to $1000 with exchange rate, tax & etc.,......I hope they are wrong
.....)
SO! I am considering the alternatives...I have seen those window shade thingy with suction cups on Amazon but I have no idea if those might be too big for MINIs windows...???
If you have suggestions/ideas or what you actually use and where to look, I would be very appreciative!
Thank you for your time!

tinting can bring your inside heat down a good bit ... I dunno about prices where you are but I paid $200 for a car larger than a MINI. Note that a good tint shop will typically have several grades of the tint material and the price varies. The store I used had 4 grades of product and I used one step below best. The product used was by LLUMAR .... LLUMAR Window Films
And a windshield sunshade also works well. These too come in different qualities. I like those made by "HeatShield"; they are custom cut to fit the particular make/model rather than a generic size. I have this in two of my cars
https://www.heatshieldstore.com/ ... you can find on Amazon too
p.s. altho you CAN buy the materials I do not recommend trying to apply tint yourself. I see MANY MANY crud jobs here in Florida .... better to pay someone you KNOW does it right. Which also means get a recommendation or ask to see some work. Place that did mine, and the product used, is warranty for life of the car . . .
