Favorite Thing
Is a 2011 MCS "newer"? New to me 1 1/2 years ago. Love the handling and acceleration. Hate the fact that others don't like being passed on dashed-yellows. Love being unique. Hate the fact that most other MINI drivers don't return my wave. Love that decent 16 inch tires can be had relatively cheaply. Hate the fact that I burn 4 tires off every 9000 miles. Love that I have a MINI. Hate that the nearest dealer is an hour away. Love that I have an extended aftermarket warranty. Hate the fact that it may not cover everything that could go wrong. Example on the last love/hate....Dealer found oil seepage from the trans input seal. Warranty company will only cover when it starts dripping, and if the clutch is fouled with oil, I will be paying for the clutch and other stuff needed, other than the seal and labor. I could come up with more, but rant off. Motor On!
Favorite has to be handling/steering/road feel; and for a dislike I actually had to think for a while..... finally came up with, I wish the sunroofs could be blocked off totally rather than just a see-through screen. But if that's the worst thing about my MCS, I can live with it

I meant maybe people had an older Mini and got a newer one since the last time this thread was out.
I do love that about the Mini too.
I hate that too (though I don't have a Mini yet - I have experienced this with other vehicles too).
I truly would hate that.

Love the responsiveness and handling. Love the little cool things like interior coloured lights, driver side sun visor, rain censors etc. I agree, hate other MINI drivers not returning the wave. Love Sport mode. Hate traffic so I can't really use sport mode.
Love the way it drives also.
I hate the three settings on the heated seats...the settings are burn, burn, and burn. Dealer checked it years ago, said it was normal...My new pick-up truck's settings are high, medium, and low, too bad I had to buy an American made vehicle to find that out.
Also hate the plastic parts on the cooling system. Replace the leaking parts regularly....

Love everything about the driving experience. Hate everything about the the special tools, cost and effort to service. Couldn't use the typical belt tensioner found in every other vehicle?
Fav: Steering feel and driveability. On the "Sport Mode" it reminds me the E46 M3 i have. It's so sharp, you can feel everything thats happening on the road.
Hate: The fuel pump symbol that wont go away at the digital speedometer when you're low on fuel, even if you press the button to show your speed, give it 5 seconds to hear another "bleep" and the fuel pump symbol comes back, forcing you to check your speed at the center dash speedometer.

Not like : Tires don't last.

15-20k is what I get most of the time. More aggressive you drive and track days the faster they burn up. The MINI in general I feel out performs the tires., if that makes sense.

my favorite things are the brakes, cause they work so well! (and have saved my butt a few times already from people deciding to be in my lane). Also, the seats, and the fact its bright blue!
my least favorite thing is when its raining and I go through a puddle and the water splashes up and reflects my LED lights in my face....

Sucks about the lights reflecting.

I think they left it designed like that intentionally to try to keep drivers from killing their cars by running through puddles. :P
