53...18 yr old son, 14 yr old son, 6 yr old daughter. Let me tell you there is no time to sit and get old with a 6 year old running around.

Some of the cars I've owned:
68 - 56 chevy, 58 vette (wish I still had this one)
70 - 70 plymouth hemicuda (REALLY wish I had this one back!!!!!)
72 - 71 MG, 70 MGB
74 - 68 BMW 2002
75 - Dodge van
77 - 73 Toyata Land Cruiser (this was a blast and was living in VT at the time)
85 - 85 Pontiac Fiero
99 - 99 Mustang GT (18 son has this now...he's in heaven)
00 - Ford Expedition (still have this for family trips)

Plus too many motorcycles to list. First one, in 70, was a Suzuki. One I currently own 92 Harley Road King.

Guess you can say I'm still a kid at heart!

im sure age discrimination is going to happen.. it's happened at my local mini club, it's happened to me at mini2... and i know it's gonna happen here

people will go on saying how ungrateful i am that i get this car with my name on it... i should just be thankful that i got a set of wheels... the sad truth is that you guys don't seem to open your mind to the possiblity that i actually am very thankful that my parents are paying for my set of wheels?

when i got my car... i don't mind if my parents didn't want to get me the mini, i even set my own price limit when i learn my parents will be paying for it... i watched every car on my list and make sure all unnecessary options are left off... why you guys think i got a bone stock S? one main reason is that i didn't want to burden my parents with a 40k+Cdn bill!

so there... my rant is over.. flame me all you want... i knew it's going to happen... someone will say im no better than those ungrateful kids who drive niec 350zs, g35s with all mods paid by their parents...

and fyi, all mods, gas, everything other than my dam insurance (at 9000 bucks canadain!!!!) is paid by me...

-kyriian

cheers, keep motoring

Kyriian - if anybody flames you for your parents buying you a MINI at 19, tell 'em to " f " off. You sound like a responsible guy and if I had an 19 year old and the means, I would definitely do the same!!

Cogitating on Curmudgeonhood

At 51, I've had more cars than my age; the only one nearly as fun as my MCS was the 64 Sunbeam Tiger ; with a little less weight and 160 HP V8, it was a blast but can't hold a candle to the handling of the MCS ...all the Nitromethane fumes from my Fuelie daze past may have clouded my memories inna Purple Haze..

Well, let's see... I am young enough to enjoy getting a mini, and old enough to pay for it myself.

52 on 9/9/04. My MINI and I are going to share a birthday.

Drive Safe
