Hey, over there! I searched and searched for a thread and I couldn't find one anywhere! We gotta start an owner's club! Ha! I'm pretty sure I'm the only SG in the Milwaukee area, but mine's the black roof.

 

I don't have a solid gold yet, but I do have a Hot Orange and Chili Red MINI. That link is one of the main solid gold threads.

Its a rare color and optioned in 2005 MINI Cooper Convertible ( very rare ) before it was retired.

That's the thing--mine's just an R50! 2005 Hatchback Base. Black roof, not a convertible! Although, the folks at the service place I take it to keep putting me in the system as an S, which I find weird--I'm told they never offered the S in SG.

Yea , only in Cooper ( NON S ) unless someone painted it at the dealership.

Yep, I have only seen in person a couple, one guy had one in our local MINI club for years.

I was expecting to see a "solid" gold Mini. As in actual "solid" gold metal, not just gold paint..! Maybe some Rapper, or Ball player type guy with a penchant for the Mini had one built or something..!

At first blush I wasn't sure. But I think I could learn to like one of these...a clean one in great condition. One for sale somewhere?

 

There was a Solid Gold/black roof Mini for sale locally for very cheap last month. I would have strongly considered picking it up, as I have a Mustang that color as well. Unfortunately, it sold before I had the chance to take a look at it.
