hi just want to ask if i can use the koni fsd of my r53 to my friends r56? im using koni fsd with jcw springs. I got a set of KW V1 from r56 and i was able to use it with my r53 just swapped my IE Fixed Camber Plates in the front and removed spacer/washer in the rear where you put the bolt.

My friend would like to try if the koni fsd/jcw spring will fit his r56 if we put the r56 top mount and the washer/spacer at the rear. thanks

 

I seem to recall that they're the same save for the spacers at the rear you refer to.

A search at the KONI website shows a slight difference. The SKU on the one for the R53 (or Gen 1) is 2100-4010 and for the R56 (Gen 2) is 2100-4099. There must be a reason for different SKU numbers so don't close the deal 'till your buddy tries them on.

 

Yes physical you can make them all bolt in, now how's the ride and performance? That will be the unknown.

You will need these rear shock spacers to install the rear shocks.

thanks way i hope the ride is ok. currently im using kw v1 that came from an r56. although this is the highest i can go in the front. but the ride is superb compared to koni fsd with stock springs and with jcwsprings. really night and day for me
