I googled 'what is auto conversion title' and got some varied responses. If you tried google and included the state you're talking about you might get an exact answer.

Its an r53 Mini Cooper s but the title says nothing about it being an s. Thought maybe that might be it. Did a car fax and it listed it as an s though. Idk

it may mean the title was transferred from a different state. Check with your title office if its really a concern.

The applicable Department of Motor Vehicles or Secretary of State Office in the state issuing the title establishes the terms used to describe the vehicle in the title. If you are interested, I suggest you check with the authority responsible for issuing titles for motor vehicles in the state where your car is registered to determine why this is characterized as a 'conversion title'.

'Conversion' might be used to designate something has changed about the vehicle as originally titled or that the vehicle was not titled through the normal channels that qualify for an "original" title in that state. For example, was the engine replaced so the VIN numbers for the body and the engine do not match?
