I made a test video! Please give me feedback!

Hey everyone, I am trying to improve my cinematography as fast and best as I can. I ended up using my modded mini as a test vehicle. I am not done with the video and I do know there is a muck up in the audio at 14sec I do apologize. Please let me know what you think hate like and what not I would love to hear the feedback.

Not to bad...

...constructive...

watch your shadow, keep it out of the shot.

maybe a steady cam rig to help stabilize your moving shots

all in all pretty good.

The hardest part is putting it all together, learning all the capabilities of your editing suite.

Motor on!

+1 My two suggestions as well.

Good start! Keep it up.

Thanks! I really appreciate it! I do have a cheap steady cam rig (DIY), I am learning how to make them better it is just taking some time. Also I hate shadows so much xD it is so hard to keep them out of shots but I do see what you are saying. Thanks for the input it means a lot.

Please do! I have yet to take it past a 100. I love driving mine too, though I am getting really mad right now about it, but that is just my parents complaining about it.

Yikes, I'm not fond of the tailpipes or the sticker-bombed dash.

Anyway, with that out of the way:

- The video part at around 14s follows the audio hiccup well; I thought it was intentional!
- The fisheye lens exaggerates the camera wobbles--try using a less-distorted lens when doing moving shots.
- Come up with something to say in your video, and refine what you show to actually say that. It could be something as simple as "look at how beautiful this car is!"

Looks pretty decent, even with the hiccups!

"Yikes, I'm not fond of the tailpipes or the sticker-bombed dash" lol that's fine not for everyone but I am young and dumb so I like it xD

So the skip I was talking about is, he says fall in a continuous stream I made, so at about 15 seconds it should be like that.

Unfortunately right now I am actually just starting up as a cinematographer. So currently what I run with is a GoPro, and a $15 steady cam (like this but smaller http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rc9oTk1Utc...0/photo213.JPG)

Also I don't quite understand the last bit about the talking?
Thanks for the input!

Not talking, communicating with your video! If you are trying to communicate something, to say something, with your video, it gives you an overall theme and concept and direction. Metaphorically, that is.

Um I still really do not follow at all. This is just showing my camera work/car?

So maybe what you're trying to say is, "my car is cool!" Or maybe you want to say "this car looks neat from odd angles". Or whatever. But it's good if you're trying to say something.

Alright again, I really do not follow your point. This is JUST a video, I am a amateur cinematographer trying to improve his skills and trying out new shots. There is no meaning, no saying, no anything. It is just a short film? https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJY...vC_ahRPVDlWhNA
Take a look at this kids videos, and tell me if they answer your statement.
