Clutch Depth?

Any MINI owners find that you are sitting closer to the steering wheel than you normally would because of the clutch depth when shifting?

Maybe I'm imagining it, but I don't think so.

Gen2?

The steering wheel not only tilts but is also telescopic.

Can you pull it out some?

i sit closer than id like in order to comfortably reach the shifter. (wondering if a short throw shifter will let me move the seat back a notch)
