Sprint Booster and factory Sport Mode

I recently got a Sprint Booster (V2 with Selectable Modes). I'm really loving it so far. Definitely eliminates the hesitation I would feel when pressing the accelerator from a dead stop.

I'm wondering how does this interact with the factory sport mode? I can tell that the RPMs are kept higher when activating factory sport mode, even with the sprint booster installed, so it definitely still does something. The sprint booster changes the throttle mapping, which I believe the factory sport mode does also. So what happens when you have both turned on?

Thanks for any insight.

could you be a little more insightful ? I got the sprint booster because the throttle response is crap in normal mode and I don't like sport mode on car for several reasons, higher shift points on an auto means poorer gas milage and with pops and gurgle with my exhaust is more like chitty chitty BANG BANG.

I was referring to the hang on statements , but I found in sport and red it goes very vertical , as in 25% throttle is like 50 and half is like wide open. I like the green in stand alone best

I do like the sprint booster but debating sending it back under the 30 day trial period and just getting a manic tune. I know the manic tune takes care of the lagging throttle and would replace my JB+ as well.

I think if the sprint booster was $150 it would be priced closer to value.
But the plus is you can remove it .

well I just sent MINI MANIA and Sprint booster an email saying I want to return for a refund under their 30 day free trial or money back, let's see how long it takes to get RMA.

Gonna just get a Manic tune and be done.

I agree the sprint booster is quite expensive. I was lucky to be able to get it for $190 in the marketplace here. I'm pretty happy with it.

I hope the return goes easy for you and that you enjoy your tune!

Just saying, unless you only have the use of 1 leg, getting a MINI with an AUTOTRAGIC transmission, is a sin...

I agree that the mapping in normal mode is crap, but sport mode is about perfect. With the FES AutoSport module you don't even have to think about pressing the button for sport mode.

Even on the lowest setting the Sprint Booster is too mush, in sport mode, it's just stupid...

IMO, the R56 and other 2nd gen cars doesn't need it...

Problem with SPORT mode an the auto trans is it moves the shift point to high for normal driving and kills the MPG .

Unless you have had enough fun shifting in your life , I used to think driving a FWD car was a SIN too. My old 1995 Trans AM with a V8 and 6 speed was so much fun drifting around turns , I just wanted an auto because most of my commute is in traffic.

I also think a 4 door car is a sin so this will be my last clubman.

But ANYWAY I got my RMA from MINI MANIA so returning my sprint booster and going to a MANIC tune.

When I had my sprint booster before my NM Engineering flash, I would use it in sport mode with the sport button pressed. I did this primarily for the steering response though.

When I got my tune and had the sprint booster on race mode, i blew my hotside pipe off right after I left NM. I limped back to them and they were kind enough to put it back on. It was definitely too twitchy in that combination.
