Andy: I most certainly did. However, here's what I'll do now.

1- Restore everything back to factory
2- Turn car on
3- Confirm all is OK (no warning lights)
4- Turn car off and remove key
5- Wait 5+ minutes with door open
6- Reinstall SB and test.

Here's a video of exactly what happens. Note what happens after I turn the car on, off then back on again. In the first session, the warning light remains on. On the second cycle, it comes on briefly then remains off.

I had to upload the video to my Dropbox account as I couldn't upload it here.

Can you try to call the manufacturer as last effort to salvage the sale? Just for a final clarification...

There is nothing for a non-S that can bring this type of performance gain.
Noted. I waited 30 minutes before the install. This product is either defective, or just doesn't work with a 2013 Hatch/Manual. It goes back tomorrow. :(

No snake oil. Worth what I paid. The throttle lag is really horrific. Quite alarming. My old mercedes was like that but you could reset the throttle and then just ham fist the car and it would adapt.

Any have a suggestion on how to make things tidy. Im not happy with the wires and module kind of loosely sitting there. The switch unit is exposed but I was going to run under the cockpit then along the right side of my feet. Also the switch doesnt turn off when the car isnt running. Is this the same with other folks?

I mounted mine under the left instrument cluster and hid all wires. I have the control switch sitting next to the start button with the wire slipping down and under the plastic dash trim. You don't see anything in my car, except the switch that is visible through the spokes of the steering wheel. I want to be able to see it because it sometimes switches to race mode. Also it does stay lit until the computer goes to sleep. Mine is automatic and the shift indicator light stays on at the same time. When the computer goes to sleep it goes out. It is nothing to worry about. I love mine as well, and attribute being so content with my non-s to that little device.

Great thks Ivan. I drove with the unit turned off last night, the race mode is very touchy, sport excellent. It's really been a excellent add on. Appreciate the feedback on the light. Cheers

I have my switch mounted on the top of the storage cubby below the toggle switches. It's not visible and it illuminates the compartment at night. If I want to change modes, I just find the switch by feel.
