CVT Transmission ?
Hello.
A simple question : How do I find out if the mini I want to purchase ( used 2008 ) has an automatic CVT transmission ?
I have done research and see a lot of warnings about CVT transmissions. Does any one know if and when they changed from the CVT to a better more reliable and what year did that change happen...?

The only way a 2008 could have a CVT is if the car is a 2008 R52 MINI Cooper Non S convertible.
The S convertible has the Asian auto trans. And the hardtop cars in 2008 both have the Asian trans too.
