On this forum I recently read a comment that James Garner was supposed to have made about the Mini: "If everybody knew about 'em, everybody would be driving one".

That set me to thinking about all the cars I've owned over the years, always looking for that one special car that would give me what I considered the feeling of ultimate satisfaction. I came across the Mini Cooper pretty late in life (I'll be 80 in two days) but I consider myself so fortunate that I did. I might have come to the party late but we're all lucky to be enjoying such a fine automobile.
