Hi all - Would anyone happen to know the part # for the map light offered in the accessories section when you build your car online? Here's a photo and thank you!

 

It looks identical to the "Co-Pilot Light" that was sold by both MINI and BMW. ECS Tuning lists it as no longer available, but perhaps it has been reintroduced.

Yes, It looks to be NLA from many distributors including MINI / BMW in that style. Possible the MINIUSA website is not updated.

But there is a new LED torch / flashlight that MINI came out with that goes in the socket. States MINI on the side. This is rechargeable. Aprox. 10 lumens of light.

Thanks to all of you for the responses - I'm really glad I inquired because I can see there are many other options for that former cigarette lighter spot.

 

That lamp is a very old design. RealOEM.com lists it as a BMW accessory going back to the E30 (ca. 1990). It's not surprising that it had been discontinued, and I'm surprised that they seem to be bringing it back. It uses a halogen bulb, which gets very hot and could burn out. A modern version should be using a low powered LED.
