Is it true that Mini dealerships use Sea Foam, BG 44K, and Redline?

I have heard various things. I have heard that some dealerships use Sea Foam, while others use BG44K and Redline? I have never heard of this before. Does anyone know the real answer to this?

Can't say for sure about the various dealerships but my BMW/MINI certified independent strongly recommends BG44K which I have used a few times. The first time I honestly could tell a difference after the first few miles. I took it right out after adding it with a topped off tank and gave it a good rousing Italian tune up. You can do a search for sea foam and find all kinds of opinions about that. It has been hashed over ad infinitum in this forum.

Dealers are independent businesses.... They pick what products they want to sell....

With today's many cars with direct Injected engine (such as 2014 Hardtop 2.0L B48), many dealers are using such air intake cleaning products - that appears to the best way to clean the oil/dirt contaminated throttle body and intake valve area (mainly via pcv system). I bought a BG kit and do it myself at home.

BG44K is great stuff. If you cant get that Techron is the next best replacment.
Back in the day I bought an Audi 4000,it was skipping like a schoolgirl from all buildup. One can of 44K in the tank and it started clearing up in just a few miles
