Ignition coil test

Due to some rough idling and other interesting problems, I've been wanting to test out my OEM ignition coil with my ohmeter before spending over $100 bucks on a new one. Does any body happen to know what numbers I should be looking for? I've searched the forums to no avail.

Perhaps if there is a write up out there somewhere, that would be nice as well... If not I guess I can make my own after figuring this out.

Coils are not so easy to test....some will be OK at room temp, but fail when hot....
An ohm meter test will only tell you if it is a dead short....but you car is running...so that is unlikely.
