Heyy everyone I have an 2009 mini cooper non turbo just turned 70k. My check engine light came on yesterday, I hooked it up to the scan tool and it says "camshaft position regulator sensor open bank one". I have already had my timing chain tensioner replaced so I'm concerned with the timing in the car. There's no abnormality in driving that I've noticed I was hoping to hear some thoughts on the issue. If any of my fellow mini motorers have any knowledge I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks Everyone

 

Hi from the codes it could be the cam shaft sensors there are two on the non S coopers located on top of the engine right side looking ahead,cheap replacement i changed out both at the same time easy diy 1 bolt 1 connector......
