It's an old dealer ploy to get you on the lot so they can sell you a new car while making you a lowball trade-in offer.

I have an eleven year old Ford F-150 pickup truck and every so often I get a notice from Ford saying they have buyers looking for a 2003 F-150 and want to know if I would be willing to go to my nearst dealership to sell them my truck - Fish On!

You willl get letter in the mail...
"your car is in demand"
"We need YOUR car for a customer who wants it"....
Goes on and on...
the whole game is get you in the door....cause till that happens...they CANNOT TRY TO SELL YOU A NEW CAR.
A sucker is born everyday....don't be a sucker...
But if you want to take a testdrive in a gen3....do a handbrake turn...er..game the system....
