Viper Invisibeam for Security

Hi all,

I'm just a day away from taking delivery of my FIRST MINI! I'm beyond excited and haven't slept much at all the past few nights.

It's a '12 Cooper S Convertible. I live in the city, with no private parking or garage anywhere nearby. I have a covered area, but it is not cordoned off, so as such, the GP will have the ability to be around the car at all times.

While I'm not terribly worried about it, as I live in a very well lit area, my concern is still there. I did some research on different security options, and I'm curious to see (yes, I've searched for it) if anyone has used the Viper Invisibeam module on their cars.

Basically, it's a RF field transmitter that can be adjusted to create a virtual bubble around the car that, if intruded upon, will cause the car's alarm to begin chirping with increasing intensity, and, if they don't get away, will cause even more noise.

I am considering it, and have seen that it has been a highly-rated device, but am curious to see / hear other's thoughts and experiences.

THANKS!
