8 mm torx socket

Where do I find an 8 mm torx socket to remove the oil drain plug on the mini. I have tried advanced, sears, and a few other auto supplies stores. The few torx sockets they had were T-9 or t-10 etc. The stores told me there is no conversion from the t sizes to mm sizes. I have to get an 8 mm.

I'm curious which model you have as mine uses an 8 mm hex socket for the oil drain plug. Anyhow, to answer your question, Amazon sells the torx socket for both male and female versions for $30.

Torx

I have not used these much in the past but I needed them for interior upgrades such as loosening the passenger seat.

Bought mine at Walmart.

The oil drain plug should look like this: For Gen 2 R56+ MINIs.

Which takes a 8mm allen or "hex head" bit socket.

And the gasket crush ring

Thanks
