My Mini Cooper s paceman all4 has shown a vexing attitude to very cold weather. It will start fine, after being plugged in , I will drive it for a few miles, stop turn it off leave it sitting for an hour or so then try and start it And it will only grind and grind the battery is fine it just will not start. Has this happened to anyone else?

 

Sounds like a bad thermostat. It's a fairly common problem.
