Vinyl Wrap/Plastidip Sunroof?

Vinyl Wrap/Plastidip Sunroof?
Hello all,
The warm weather here in the northeast has me thinking about something I probably will do this spring: cover the sunroof. I am not a sun worshipper and I don't want it shining in on me fiercely when summer returns at full blast. I am thinking that vinyl wrapping the translucent panels in white, to match the rest of the roof and get maximum heat reflection, is the way to go. Does anyone know if precut vinyl pieces exist for such a mod? If not, am I correct in assuming that the job can be done without removing the sunroof, just by spreading and CAREFULLY cutting the vinyl? Is Plastidip an option for this project? Basically, I am looking for the easiest way to do this, short of getting a shop to do it for me.
Thanks, in advance, for your help.

Make sure you do some research. Urban legend says the glass can crack when tinted. Some have had this happen, others haven't had any issues. I personally wouldn't risk it (that's just me) since the sunroof glass isn't cheap. I can't vouch for the vinyl though. Either way, yes there are places that sell pre-cut pieces for this. I wouldn't do it on your own unless you're familiar with the process. Plastidip might look worse with your gloss white roof than tint or vinyl would.

The side that faces down on the Zippee Shade is black and with the screen closed you barely notice it. The side that faces up on the Zippee Shade is a reflective silver that helps keep the inside cooler and you don't really notice it from the outside. I can vent the sunroof with the Zippee Shades on and if I want to take them off it only takes a few seconds.
