Blow a Fuse?

What I want to do is run two devices - V1 and gps - off the cigar lighter. Has anyone done anything like this? Is the fuse for the lighter at risk?

i run my GPS and radar detector together all the time on the cigarette lighter....no issues.

both devices are very low current draw, you shouldnt have any issues.

You will be fine....
A cigarette lighter has a high amp fuse...usually 10+, even a 15...
A gps, phone, etc is only about 1 amp.( often protected by a 2.5 or 5 amp fuse, but more than needed by 50% of more)...most electronic devises draw very little watts...hence a low amp rating....

I've got one of those 2 way splitters plugged into my lighter/power port. One plug is for my radar detector, and the other is for a cord to charge my wife's cell phone. Used them many times together, and there has never been an issue.
