2013 Mini Hardtop Wiper Blades

Has anyone found any brand of wiper blades that fit the bayonet on the 2013 Mini Hardtop.

Yes I know they are covered under the maintenance plan but to me it is not worth going to the dealership and getting them installed when needed. I would rather buy my own than spend 1/2 a day going to the dealership to save $20.00.

Bump.. Had a frustrating day running around getting wiper blades only to find that they do not fit. The 2013+ Mini Cooper S Hardtop we have does not have the J shaped hook at the end of the wiper arm. Instead it is a straight arm with a slight step at the end. The feature that locks the blade in place is rectangular hole in the arm the mates to a snap on the arm.

Can't seem to find a 3rd party manufacturer that makes one compatible with this. Guess it's OEM or nothin?

Any luck anyone?

They changed the arms for the 2013 models. None of the aftermarket wipers fit and probably never will as only the 2013 hardtop models have these new arms. I made several trips to auto parts stores only to find none that fit and had to settle for the cheap blades mini installs which I had to buy get only at the dealership.

Why would you have to pay for them if you wound up getting them at MINI dealer?
And I can understand if you have to drive 100 miles to your MINI dealer, but if they're covered, why not just keep making them replace them.

I'm not attempting to make fun, but when you and the other guy post about running all over town/area to find them, only to have them not fit.............
Would seem easier to just hit up the MINI dealer and be done!

Just $0.02

I use Bosch Icons. They look and perform better then the garabage you get at the dealership. Also I get 17" on both sides. I might be going to 16" on the passenger side because it does make full contact at the bottom of the windshield. I have never at of the 7 cars I have ever owned been able to get contact on that last little bit of the windshield.

I know this thread is about the 2013 but I too am not too crazy about the 'fit' of the stock lengths. May pull off the brand new RainX (BFD) blades and start from scratch. Also, the universal RainX blade has a universal mount that is half the size of your fist. Gotta be a lower profile blade out there.

The problem is that the 2013+ MINIs have a blade ARM design that doesn't have the j-hook to attach the arm to the wiper blade. It's similar/the same as the design for the rear wipers on a Clubman.

Two solutions:
1) Get arms that fit the 2007-2012 M.Y. MINIs.
2) Go old-skool and replace the blade material only. PITA, though (however, I have not looked closely at the 2013 blades, so I'm just guessing).

F it then. Get some 07 Wiper arms. They can't be that expensive.
