I was told to shut off rain sensor when I wash my car. I'm having some difficulty figuring out how to do that. Manual not much help.

 

Hand washing? What does it matter if the car's not running?

If you doing drive thru washing then I believe that you are talking about the auto-wipers, just push the button on the end of the right stalk of the steering column. There should NOT be a wiper icon on the digital display of the tach. This features turns of automatically when you shutoff the car, so unless you have been using it that day (you probably haven't - cause why would you wash the car in the rain, lol) you shouldn't have a problem.
