Xenon Headlight Upgrade

Hi everyone,

I found a good deal on some xenon headlights for my 03 MCS. Mine currently has non xenons. Does anyone have any pictures of how they look turned on vs the halogens?

Considering a used Countryman and could use some help as well:

1 Can you convert from halogens to xenons?
2 Would this void the warranty assuming I don't go through the dealer?
3 If I went through the dealer, would they do it? Any idea on cost?

Any help would greatly be appreciated gang.

Yes you can convert to xenons without a problem and as long as the xenons are the Mini OEM ones (they were an option) I don't see it affecting your warranty at all. You can do it yourself in 20 minutes I'm sure. Dealer will do it for $$$.

If you want OEM housings...it is VERY $$$$
Several THOUSAND $$ just for parts....but very nice units.
E-bay, etc units...cheap..easy..usually inferior optics...they tend to make more glare than light...but they are cheap....and USUALLY put out LESS LIGHT ON THE ROAD than the OEM halogens....and oncoming drivers will be cussing at you!! I see it every night...you get the "xenon look" with the nice white or even blueish tint light....but not much goes on the road...
Retrofitting xenons tend to be one of the items that are kinda beyond the $$ most folks are willing to pay by 2-3X............

I would estimate about 8 hr installation time. So probably about a $4K dollar job with coding...

^Thanks but that post appears to be for 2nd gen. I'm just looking for a picture to see how they look from the outside. I guess not as modern looking as most cars due to lack of projectors right?

Just had aftermarket hid bulbs added to replace the halogens in my 2002 Cooper a few weeks ago..
Don't have a good night shot, but here is a daytime shot.
