Electrical system energizes when opening door
Why does the electrical system energize when the driver's door is opened?

The 'P' on the automatic illuminates and stays lit and a buzz sound from an actuator happens.

One reason is the start/stop button lights up, so you can find it. Apart from that I don't know why. I've noticed the iPod will light up when the door is opened.
