General MINI TalkShared experiences, motoring minutes, and other general MINI-related discussion that applies to all MINIs, regardless of model, year or trim.
I have never named any of my past cars. No name ever seemed to come to me that fit. Not totally sure about my MINI. A friend suggested Blue Lightning since she is Lightning Blue. Name is starting to ring with me.
Previous cars were Bessie (Volvo 240 wagon), Jim (olds), Alice (larger olds*) and The UDS (an e30 that was my DD, but has moved into the project/what the hell am I thinking tying to deal with this rust stage).
Kind of a long story about CiCi, but here's goes. So I originally really really reeeeeeeeeeeeally wanted an Electric Blue Mini. Reminded me so much of the Caribbean sea and is just the prettiest color ever! So I was going to name the EB Carrie, short for the Caribbean sea. But I couldn't wait to find the right EB, so I got a Laser Blue. Since in the right light, if you squint a little, LB looks a lot like EB, I figured this one must be Carrie's cousin. So Carrie's Cousin = CC = CiCi :D Although lately she's been reminding me of Smurfette.
We named ours Sly as in Sly Cooper one of my son's favorite video games when he was younger. Ironically Sly is a raccoon and they can do a lot of damage to a MINI so hopefully out of respect for a fellow raccoon they will steer clear of him.
Steve. It's needed a guys name cuz he's got *****. ;-)
.......
That's why I named my '14 Roadster S "John Bull". I really couldn't envision driving a car with a feminine name. With all due respect to the MINI ladies at NAM, of course. Everyone should name their MINI as they see fit.
Pretty much any car I have own is of the female persuasion. Just seems right to me. Treat them right and they treat you right. Treat them bad and watch out...

I have a wife and two daughters. Enough females around here - I need a male Roadster here to add to the testosterone count.
I hope you don't have one of those disgusting sacs on the back of your John Bull that I see on some pickup trucks. JK.
Once my Roadster arrives from England, I seriously doubt you'll see anything outside factory and dealer installed equipment. No mods and certainly no 'sacks'. Regarding the testosterone, I'm speaking figuratively, not literally.l

lol not always. i treated my neon like gold, yet her name was b**ch. she fought you for hours when trying to mod her, but once it was in she was a happy girl.
