Me Likey the wheelz! I need to wash mine down and get them dipped this weekend after i get back from the Mini dealer to have them finally replace my turbo water pump....pretty sad it hadn't been done before i just bought it a month ago...
I wouldn't do blaze pink.... fades real quick... they are launching a new full spectrum color line that includes a new pink in October man! check out dipyourcar.com
A tip for those doing wheels I learned from another site. Take some manilla folders and tuck between the rim and tire bead all the way around the rim. It will make a cone; tape seams as you wish depending on how much overlap you give yourself may not need to. and spray away, no problem with overspray on tires to clean. Wish I had know this before I did mine.... LOL
I've noticed that sand sticks to my wheels like crazy. Plus when I did my wheels I made sure to spray them with light coats yet I still got a crappy finish. I think the day I did it the humidity was 110% instead of the normal 100%.

I use old business cards from previous positions. I did and any wind blows them away (I live near the coast) and nicks the wet dip. I figured out that lots of over-spray is really easy to peel off of surface you didn't want it on.
Here's my R53. Ill post some more pics when I get time. I've de chromed everything, What was chrome is allllll flat black! Mostly rebuilt (supercharger, hoses, water pump, axles, bushings, ball joints... blah blah) Has a Nice CAI, Sneed Plugs, 17% pulley, Miltek Exhaust. Only runs on 93 and royal purple. Next up is Koni Yellows, H&R springs, Rear swaybar, Injectors and a tune. WILL NEVER SELL MY R53.... but I am looking for a 2005 forester xt if anyone wants to sell me one. lol
I have a dark silver clubman and I love the paint color except the stripes. The black stripes are fine except the white outline down each side, to me, makes the car show its age (‘09). Ive seen vids of cars with new plastic dip stripes applied but never plastic dipped over the stripe itself.
Seems easy enough, just curious if anyone else has done this. Also thinking about changing the stripe color all together into a blue or red to make it stand out more.
Unrelated to the recent posts, but I plasti-dipped my hood scoop and added a JCW-like line to my MCS, both in dark blue. It doesn't completely match my stripe unfortunately (that was previously done with vinyl). While it's not 100% awesome, I like it. And it was also very cheap and easy to do. (I tried it three times before I got a color that I like. It also inspired my wife to plasti-dip her hubcabs too!)
