HELPPPP.! R53 help.

so changed the spark plugs/ the valve cover/ignition coil. on my 2002 r53 but i have an engine swap from an 06 r53.

so now im having this problem where the rpms will shoot up by its self then go back down, then it will shoot back up again. the car is giving its self gas pretty much. and there was also a little white smoke coming out of my bay once i started the car

Sounds like a possible vacuum leak. Did the swapped engine run fine before.

yea before it ran fine. ive had the swap done for over a year now. and last week once i did the sparkpluag/valve cover/ ignition coil... then it started happening.

If you had the valve cover off u may of left off or not fully conneted vacuum line some where. Also check any electrical connections in that area may have come loose when u took the cover off. And check the connector for the coil pack.

The intercooler boot is probably not quite on correctly

Also check you plug wires if ya switch #3 and #4 which isn't that uncommon it will also do it.
