Stripes over clear bra?
Stripes over clear bra?
Hi, I just got my certified 2011 CMS and I am super stoked to start making it my own. One thing that it has on it is a clear bra, which is great for protection etc. The issue is that I REALLY want to put some stripes on so I can go faster
. So my question(s) is..... can I install stripes OVER the clear bra? And if so will they last as long? If not, should I carefully cut out a section for the stripes? Remove the bra altogether? Any info and opinion is very appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Just put the stripes over the clear bra.
It is a toss-up which will last longer, the stripes or the bra but my bet is on the bra. Then if you want to change stripes or if the stripes fade you can pull them off and leave the bra.

Here is an earlier discussion I found using the search engine. There should be enough discussion therein to provide you with decision making options.

My clubbie is an 08 built in 07. The silver with black trim stripes are starting to crack. The clear bra looks like the day it went on. I would have to strip both to put new stripes on so I amd just getting a whole new JCW CM.
Only thing that hurt the bra was a tire iron kicked up by a truck in front of me. It minimized even that ding.
