Kudos to Classic MINI in Cleveland
I feel compelled to give public kudos to Classic MINI in Willoughby Hills (Cleveland), Ohio... And to some of you fellow NAM members.
While I love my local MINI dealer, they charge full list for everything—and I think the pricing of many MINI accessories is ridiculously high. (I think the dealers, and BMW, make more money selling us "brand crap" than they do from the cars themselves, but anyway.)
Based on the suggestions of NAM members, when I decided to buy the retrofit center armrest for my Justa, along with a few other various and sundry items, I decided to give Classic MINI a ring. Paul was terrific on the phone, and the prices he quoted me were much easier to swallow than buying locally. Plus they graciously gave a further discount when I mentioned I'd seen them on NAM.
My goodies arrived today, right when promised, the shipping charges were more than fair and reasonable, and best of all—I saved a lot of cabbage in the process! I'd not even considered mail order; happy I did.
Really glad I've discovered NAM... Great tips all around, including the tip to try these guys. Can't wait to fit the armrest this weekend—just ahead of the Icicle Rallye ride on Sunday!
Thanks everyone!

I have orders parts I the past and always felt good about the price. My last potential transaction went elsewhere because they said shipping would be over $200 for the JCW suspension. Sewell Mini had a great price on the kit and only $75 for shipping.
I think the real lesson here is shop around. For some reason or other, it just never occurred to me to even try it with "genuine MINI" stuff. Morristown MINI in New Jersey was also mentioned numerous times here, along with Sewell. Now I know!
