The title says it all! My '08 chili red Clubman has black (with white edges) bonnet stripes. The dealer who sold me the car (not a MINI dealer, just a nice, higher end used car dealer) put the stripes on for me. They're fine, they're just...not quite right. I think they aren't angled outward at the windshield enough. Also, white edges.

I've been poking around the interwebz and saw some black and red checkered stripes that I think could look really cool. I'm curious if anyone has suggestions on a quality source for 3rd-party decals. The site I found first is mightystripes.com, but their site looks rather dated.

Also, does anyone have checkered stripes on their MINI? I'd love to see them.

Mightystripes is OK. Have you tried looking for a custom vinyl shop in your area? I'm in a little town of 12K and we've got one. They can do anything you want done. If you do decide to replace them be sure to get them laminated. Its a thin vinyl cover that will protect them from bug scars and other messy stuff. There are tutorials on NAM on how to do it yourself, real easy, I've done it twice. Also, give them an extra coat or two of wax but if you claybar and machine polish, mask them off first.

 

Thanks for the tip. There is actually a really good "custom" shop here in town that we've used before for some very dark tint on my husband's Volvo C30. Maybe I'll give them a call and see what they can do.
