Hello all,

Got a new-to-me 2009 Clubman S a week ago. I've been enjoying learning all about my car and it's many peculiarities. I've been scouring the internet for information related to my new MINI, but somehow the answers to 2 questions have eluded me:

1) It appears the oil change interval is 10,000 miles or 1 year. It also appears that the computer will let me know when this has elapsed. Is that true? I ask because I don't know the prior oil change history and I don't want to jeopardize the 'extended warranty' I purchased when I got the car by not getting the appropriate oil changes.

2) My Clubman S came with a MINI-branded roof rack, which I have since removed. I have been unable to locate any covers for the slits that are now exposed (neither in the car, nor on the internet for purchase). A) Will having the slits open be any risk for damage/rust? B) Does anyone know where I can get covers, if they exist? (Note: I've found 1st gen covers, but not 2nd gen)
