First Quick GoPro HD3 Video

Hey guys,

I received a GoPro HD3 silver edition camera for Christmas today and decided to make a quick video. The sound is not very good because the camera is not properly mounted. I simply wedged it between the passenger seat and the headrest. Despite this, you can still clearly hear the supercharger as well as the backfire of the (stock) exhaust.

There are really only two interesting parts where I do a quick 1-5 pull. I barely (if ever) get past 4k rpm in this video. The rest of the video is pretty boring so I won't be offended if you skip those parts!

Watch in HD! You can only watch in 720p because I recorded in 960, but I could have shot it in full 1080p.

Congrats on the new camera. Thanks for sharing! Enjoyed the vid; super quality, very steady, and I like the wide angle you were able to get from the passenger headrest location. Might have to put one of these on my wish list.

Surprised you don't have more snow on the ground there...

Thanks everyone! I am located in Hamburg NY. It's true, there's not much snow here although we are supposed to have some coming in the next couple of days. I am considering using my 90° mount to place it full time on the passenger "B" pillar, but I need to test fit it first as I'm not sure how much space I have.

Thanks for the sample, I've the same gear and am debating mounting locations. In this case the view is great, but I'm not sure I feel "close enough" to catch cone locations through the windscreen while at the same time being able to observe hand movement and tach. We shall see...

Cheers,

Charlie

I feel the same way. My first choice was to mount in right on the dash facing out the front window but then I realized that I like having the side windows as well as myself on camera. If I get T-boned you will be able to see it more clearly and if I ever get wrongly accused of speeding, using a phone, etc. I'll have proof as to what I was really doing. Also, if I ever get pulled over I can have the officer on camera as well.
