Merry Christmas to NAM! 130 mile trip in the morning and taking Christmas with me. Springfield,Mo to Grand Lake in Oklahoma. Yearly gathering the weekend before Christmas Day. Going to get nasty out tonight and side winds for my trip will be 35 to 40 predicted. I'll go slow ( sorta) and safe. Everyone have a good holiday!

And then the wife wanted to do last minute shopping. Had to lower the top to get it all in. Drew quite a crowd watching us pack the Cabrio!

I made it with the tree! Instead of a side wind from north it was a mean headwind up to 45 mph. With me at 75 and the wind straight into us the tree thought I was going 120! Somehow the Blue Spruce still has some needles on it . Just at the beginning of the trip I was passed by a white over silver MCS from Ontario, Canada. Got a nod while I was waving my a$$ off. Followed him 60 miles then turned off south to get out of the headwind. On long steeper hills I felt like I was dragging an anvil! Sometimes had to shift down to fifth to maintain speed. Last week I made this trip and got 37 mph. This time after fighting the wind loaded down the computer is reading 22!
