Warranty?

I'm a new MINI owner of a 2009 Clubman, non-S. I've heard that factory warranty is 50k miles, is that right? How many years? How can I verify the exact date my vehicle was put into operation?

I would think with the VIN any Mini dealer could give you that info. Probably over the phone.
