what stops somebody from getting ripped off?

how does the money ex-fer work? i assume the seller gets money before he ships? what safe guards is there? for both sides? what stops somebody from making fake sells then take money and disappear? or somebody buy my parts and end up being an con-artist?

I sent my 02 as a trade for new GTI, whats a fair price for a m7 strut bar, and a ddm cold air intake with a blue silicon hose. ( supply your own nuts for the ddm) 50% off new?

Trust!? If you use Paypal you can file a complaint if you do not get what you paid for and hope they give your money back. I have seen where some one who is "sketchy" be challenged almost immediately when they post something for sale. Beware of someone making their first post an item for sale. I have had very good luck so far buying from the Marketplace. So far I have bought JCW rims, CF JCW shift ****, Helix SSK, Alta CAI, CF OCC, custom made adapter, MINI Cooper Hot Wheels flash drive and a couple other items. So far everyone has been on the up and up.

 

A fair price? That would be whatever someone is willing to pay for it. Put up a $XXX OBO tag and see where you go. Try using ebay/google for comparison pricing on other used parts to see what the going rates are.
