I just wanted to share my windshield repair experience because it was definitely a positive one.
So my crack has been in place for nearly 2 years starting near the top of the driver side of the window and spreading southeast towards the center of the windshield. I finally decided to have it fixed.
I took it to Low Price Autoglass in San Jose, CA. It's right next door to the pick n' pull. So far I've had 3 cars done. The r53, 95 integra and an NA miata. All cases were success.
They did my windhshield change in under 2 hours and informed me to give it about 2 additional hours of dry time for the urethane. So after I picked up my car, I meandered my way delicately to the nearest starbucks to park my *** and the mini for a slow cup of coffee.
After 3 days, the painter's tape really didn't bother me, I removed the tape and took the car to San Francisco for the evening as I knew there would be fog and I would get a chance to see how the craftsmanship would hold up, no leaks and minimal fogging, I'm satisfied.
