You do know that the 2013 CM won't go into production until November, which means you probably won't see it until Christmas?

Can you really wait that long?

That's what I thought/heard, but my MA told me (two days ago) that it'll only take 6-8 weeks if I order a 2013 right now. And no, I sure don't want to wait until November! I was really going back and forth (in my mind) about that, but I contacted him and he said 6-8 weeks.

2013's are being made right now. If I'm not mistaken the first orders are being delivered to dealers right now. Mine is about 3 to 4 weeks out!

I've seen that article...but it seems either their info is wrong or there's been a change in production lead times.

1st, Congrats!

2nd, when my CM was being made last year, the factory shut down for August and then started making 2012s in September. Mine was produced in the first week they reopened and I picked it up from the dealer first week of October. You may get yours quicker than that if you're on the east coast. I don't know if they've changed their schedule, but that was my experience.

Be sure your MA isn't putting in an order for the last run of the 2012s. Hope I'm wrong and you can get your new 2013 CM in as short a time as possible!

Just looked on Edmunds.com, seems the "late fall" release is for the JCW Countryman. Maybe the "S" and Justa are on the same schedule as other models. However, they are built in Austria, not Oxford, England.

Chrunck,

Nope, my MA was wrong, which he didn't find out until he tried to put in my order this afternoon. As we've all read on Motoring File and probably elsewhere, they aren't going into production until November. That's too long of a wait, especially with my R56 sold as of yesterday. So I went ahead and ordered the 2012. Just got home.

You were right, Retired Rev. MY MA was wrong and he didn't know that until he tried to put the order in. Bummer, but not a big deal. I can't wait until November for it to began, so I ordered the 2012.

Oh well. They're moving the window switches to the doors from the center console for the 2013 CMs, which is lame in my opinion.

Which is lame? The current location of the switches or the decision to move them? I like the current location.

Thank you!
Since we shared in your pricing and ad strategy, do you mind disclosing how much you finally got for it?

This is a sore spot! But I'll disclose: $15,300. It's a sore spot because I know they would have given me more for it...they drove 4 hours to get it and were clearly prepared to pay what I wanted. I offered it to them at $15,300 like I didn't have a care in the world. I don't know what happened...I was holding a squirming baby and caught off guard by their friendliness/niceness. At the end of it all there were hugs, invitations to visit them, etc. Super nice people, but I still should have at least offered my minimum! And I didn't.

Seriously disappointed in myself.

The thought... "I got this kid to feed" ...never crossed your mind?

If you had recorded the squirming and played it backwards, you would have heard... "are u out of your mind???"
