Left Handed MINI
Left Handed MINI
So, the US MINI is perfect for a left hander because you get to keep your dominant hand on the wheel while opening windows/adjusting climate controls/shifting.
UK MINIs would be better for right handers... using their left hand to do the less important tasks. I'm glad it's backwards over here. Anyone else left handed or agree?

I'm left handed (actually ambidexterous, but I write/throw left handed). Except for the window switches, most cars would favor lefties anyway, since the shifter is on the right along with HVAC and radio controls. My Volvo has it's window switches between the driver and passenger seat, so they're lefty biased too I guess.
I'm a lefty.
I am not bothered too much by driving in the UK.
I drove a VW Polo there last fall and shifting with my left hand was not a problem.
The right hand drive car is not a mirror image, or reverse, of the the left hand drive.
It's just moved over to the other side of the car, with the shifter remaining in the center.
Gas/petrol pedal on the right, clutch on the left, and the shift pattern is the same.
My right handed husband freaks over driving on the left though and he won't do it anymore after having a little fender bender in England.
He won't even have his name added as a second driver.
Lefty power!

My theory is its the opposite, shifting with your dominant hand is more natural. I'm right handed and learnt to drive in England. My wife is left handed and learnt to drive in the US. Neither of us found switching sides (to our dominant sides) any problem.
That's my theory too.
I think that's why my right handed husband flips out in England and cannot drive there, while it really seems to make more sense to south paw me.
I am an American and learned to drive here in the USA.
The total time I've spent driving in the UK is negligible, but I don't find it difficult to switch sides at all.

When I had my Classic Mini (RHD) there wasn't too much of a difference for me going between both cars and I am right handed. The only thing was forgetting where the shifter was at first when I would switch cars
