Hey everyone, hoping someone can help me out with a few quick dumb questions.

The 2006 Mini Cooper S, when you lock the car with the remote key, is it supposed to honk or just flash the lights?

When the car is locked, is there suppose to be a light that flashes in the car to signal its alarmed? I have no such thing in mine but there does look like there might be something near the front of the dashboard closest to the windshield that looks like it may be a light that can flash.

It does not, so I was wondering is that the rain sensor??

They dont beep they just flash. As far as the alarm, I honestly dont think they have alarms standard. Personally I think alarms are stupid,annoying, and pointless anyway. Oh and the rain sensor is part of the rear view mirror. Its the little glass circle when you look at the windshield from the outside.

 

the car will beep and the lights will blink when it's locked or unlocked. When the oem alarm system is installed in the car the old turn signaler is replaced with one with a red tip that blinks. That's the indication that the alarm is active. It looks exactly like the other side with the wiper controls but red instead of yellow.
