iPhone ProClip Mount

Got tired of the dangling iPhone in the console so I sprung for this ProClip mount. 5-minute install and it works beautifully. Easy to clip and unclip the phone in and out of place. Plus, I love the built-in connector so no more fumbling with the cable. Only drawback - need a longer cable if I decide I want the phone in landscape mode as the cable that came with the Mini is too short to rotate a full 90 degrees.

A few pics:

Yes, it fits with a case. My iPhone has a case so I ordered the holder that accepts a phone case. They have a seperate option to order one without. They have quite a selection of holders for phones and GPS units for the same mount. The holder and mount are ordered separately so you can customize the setup for your device(s).

The viewing angle is perfect - note that you can swivel the holder 360 degrees parallel with the face plane of the phone and quite a bit left and right to suit your preference.

I like the idea not having to mess with the cable and was thinking of going with the KUDA (kudausa.com) and install the proClip mount. Thanks for sharing the photo that I can see it sit up a bit higher so it does provide much closer viewing to the center.

Will let you know what I ended up with...

I have seen the KUDA version for this and I believe it sits on the driver side of the center stack so it's closer to you. I didn't want it there because I already have the remote display for my V1 near there and may decide to add aux. gauges at a later date.

I have used the KUDA mount for one of my Corvettes and, although the overall quality was pretty good, I didn't like the mounting method as much as I like the ProClip approach. JMHO, though.

Yup, I see your point as I don't want to clutter my dash although it is the best mounting location for unobstructed and direct viewing while driving. The location for ProClip is good enough for the iPhone as I do not use the navigation that often. When I do need to use it I just need to glance at it once in a while.

The only thing I don't like the ProClip is the bracketing does not lend itself that well. I have had the Kuda on my BMW and it looks integrated. However, the ProClip mount is higher and seems to fit better.

I will order both and see how it fit for me ...

I have been happy with mine so far as well. I have a similar pass-through model that is adjustable for different cases. I re-used my old pro-clip mount and installed it at the dealership before I even drove the car away for the first time

I found the cable would go loose eventually due to road bumps but a couple zip ties permanently fixed the issue:

Any chance somebody can post a picture of the Proclip mount with an iphone in landscape mode?

I am still debating between Proclip and the Cravenspeed scissors iphone mount to the left of the steering wheel.
