The 2006 GP had halogens too. Lighter weight? After all, they took the rear seats out to make it lighter. I would take the extra weight of the xenons for how much better the light output is though!

It is just a test car, I am sure you will be able to get xenons.

awesome! The rims look like cheap imitations of the original GP rims though. But I cant knock them for keeping the same style rims. Im sure the production version will look much better.

I would not necessarily make that prediction. The GP formula includes more power combined with less weight, plus real aerodynamic improvements.

If it doesn't make the car go faster, they will probably leave it off.

Looking forward to the concept unveiling in May.

The article says something about the side skirts being functional? They look exactly the same as the JCW Aero Kit now?

I stand corrected.

Just my opinion: I feel like the new "GP" isn't different enough. The wing and diffuser are cool but you can get them both in aftermarket parts (I know not the exact style but you get what I mean), the side skirts are pretty much the same, and the front end seems to generally be the same except for the shape of the brake ducts.

I am more curious as to what is under the hood. I think that is what makes the GP a GP and not another JCW (or a glorified JCW, for that matter).

I was noticing all of these things, which is why I was confused about all the "you can't take a picture of these angles!!" vinyl because it's all stuff we've all seen.

As far as the brake ducts.. they look exactly like mine?

Anyone think it will be the 220 as stated in the article or more?

I LOVE the rear spoiler, diffuser and no rear wiper. The rest of the body kit looks exactly the same as the normal JCW... I really hope it doesn't just come in that color combo though, that would kill it for me.

The article is talking about actually making the side skirt ducts functional for the rear brakes. Right now they don't really do anything at all.

More than 220 please!

If it has everything they say it will have and comes in different colors I would seriously consider trading in my Coupe for one of those.

I doubt it will come in more than one color, but I also doubt it would come in that Midnight Black/Red, most likely another one off color like the other Special Editions to date.
