Is it possible to determine if a Mini is what the seller says it is by the VIN #?

Some things can be determined by the VIN while others cannot.
I cannot recall the order , but believe specifics are limited to:
Manufacturing country (as opposed to country of manufacture: Germany vs England)
OEM (MINI)
Type of vehicle (car, truck, etc)
Type (Coupe, Convertible, Clubman)
Year of model (not year of build)
Engine information
Plant where assembled
Individual serial number

Do not believe information pertaining color or individual options can be determined.
