From realoem.com...looks like the Marker should just pull out, would most likely need a Trim Panel Removal Tool.

Ok only $24.99, so it just pry it out with one of those tools-which tool? I looked in from inside the wheel well and it just looks like the lens has a short rod with ribs on it and it's held in by that. I just don't want to start prying and break them off. Have you or anyone actually done this before?

I couldn't resist this - How many MINI owners does it take to change a light bulb? So far, THREE!

To the OP: Do you still have the owner's manual for your car? If not, you may be able to download one from miniusa's website.

The owner's manual should cover how to change all of the bulbs in the car.

Is there a prize for the best answer? I checked my 2010 owner's manual and it was no help. It explains the replacement of most of the bulbs but not this one.

My suggestion: Partially remove the inner fender liner to gain access to the back side of the lamp. You can do this by removing the bottom two fasteners and pulling the liner out of the way revealing the back of the lamp. Twist the socket a half turn counter clockwise to remove it and change the bulb. I just tried it on my car in the garage, took five minutes start to finish. Good luck.

Now up to four.

I'm just counting the OP and others actually trying to help, so my post doesn't count.

Eleven? One to hold the bulb and ten to move the car?

Looks like Ammodave's got it, but this is much more fun!

See those little posts protruding out the back of the marker in the illustration? I suspect that you will find that those are secured with nuts that thread over the plastic. At least that was the case with my '06 rear markers, which looked a whole lot like the one in the parts diagram. So if it feels like something is holding it in place... maybe something is.
