A KISS MINI Cooper Countryman was stolen in Harrison, NY. It's too bad that this particular article doesn't use the word "Countryman" once. And since there's no pic of the bonnet end, I don't know if this is the same MINI (Jim McDowell's) that I "coincidentally" escorted to Loon lot and the Auto Road this past June at MINIS on Top in New Hampshire.

I took this photo of Jim McDowell in that KISS MINI on Bear Notch Road. Me and another PW/B were taking pictures of our MINIS when he motored past. We decided to chase him down and motor with him to Loon. He apparently assumed that we wanted to continue motoring in a "spirited manner" and he waved us by. So we led him to Loon Lot.



I had to share that story since it will never happen again in my lifetime!

 

That article popped up on my google news feed and my first thought was: "Seriously? Could the thief not think of a less recognizable car? The second he tries to sell that thing, the police are going to be all over him. What an idiot." I feel for the poor person that MINI was stolen from.
