sunroof too noisy!

Has anyone tried a wind deflector with their sunroof? I can't drive on the highway and listen to the radio with my sunroof open because of the wind noise. I noticed Bavarian Motorwerks advertises one. I also wonder if they'll fit with my roof rack on. Thanks, dennis

Interested in this also -- had wondered if adding one would look okay & help with wind noise.

The factory one doesn't work?

Installed one from Weathertech and am very pleased. We now can easily hear the stereo at 70. Can't vouch for fitment with a roof rack.

It could be the roof rack that is making all the noise.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe a wind faring like the ones from Thule or Yakima would help.

sunroof noise

The factory one doesn't diminish noise. It's just a little bug deflector screen that pops up. Also, the problem was present before the roof rack went on. Good thoughts though. I'll check out the one from Weathertech also. Thanks a million.

I just turn up the volume on the radio.

so far I haven't encountered a problem on my deflectors... I didn't hear any whistle or noise these are the low cost bug deflectors that I still have for more than 3 years... still works great

Nope. It's the sunroof itself. Thought the same thing when I tried out a friend's Cooper years ago. After getting mine, the sunroof is loud as hell when open. Aesthetics (and a convertible in the driveway) prevent me from getting a sunroof wind deflector.
